Yesterday the mayor of Newmham visited the Sport Compass House! It was a really busy day at the Sport Compass House. The USA Women's National Sitting Volleyball Team did her final training. They also played a match against the teachers of the Royal Docks Community School. With all those things happening, we caught the attention of the media. BBC and Channel 4 were here to film the activities.
Today we had a meeting, together with Fausto and Javier from Cycling Independent, with UCI. The International Cycling Union (UCI) is cycling’s International Federation recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The UCI administers and promotes the development of the eight disciplines of cycling. The UCI’s mission is to develop and promote cycling, in close collaboration with National Federations. UCI is very positive about Cycling Independent and want to support this new way of ycling.
Afterwards we had a demonstration of Cycling Independent and were visited by a national Mexican tv and a Mexican sports channel.
Sport Compass is promoting disabled sports worldwide. And what's a better way to do that then during the Paralympics! During the Games we are making new friends, looking for partners worldwide and we are promoting several athletes.
